Problème: A large transformer in Amsterdam showed leaks on the flange face of the cover. Since the cover is full of connections and connections, it is not possible to detach the cover and thus replace the gasket.

Cas d'application

Before the Belzona products can be applied, it is important that the surface is cleaned and roughened. The edges are then sealed with the oil-tolerant paste for metal repair, the Belzona 1161. This is applied in combination with the Belzona 9341 reinforcement sheet.

Procédé d'application

The repair is finished with Belzona 5831 for extra protection. This epoxy coating for corrosion protection is again oil tolerant. The combination of products used repairs the transformer, in such a way that it will be leak-free for a long time. The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona system leaflet GSS-08.

Faits sur Belzona

The transformer is cooled with cooling oil, which does not allow the surface to be completely grease-free. With the Belzona products it is possible to repair the flange face without removing the cover or experiencing problems with the surface.
