Application Situation

Emergency repair on a feeding pipe circulating sulphuric acid into a storage tank.

Application Method

The leak was plugged with Belzona 1212 in order to secure the pipe. The surface was then manually prepared and Belzona 4341 was used with a reinforcement sheet all around the pipe to reinforce its structure and protect it against acid, in accordance with Belzona system leaflet VPF-11.

Belzona Facts

The distributor was on site for another application but the customer needed this pipe to be urgently repaired. The customer chose Belzona for its speed, the ease of application and the good chemical resistance of the system.
