Problem: A leaking roof over an engineering workshop proved troublesome and challenging for conventional repair methods, due to the services, ducting, cable troughs and other assets attached.

Application Situation

The physical restrictions actually attached to the roof made this a very difficult job to rectify for the company's Asset and Facilities Manager. Belzona had been successfully used elsewhere on the site for many differing applications and it was decided to employ a similar tactic to the Engineering workshop roof.
The Belzona 3131 (WG membrane) system was ideal due to the time of year and allowed the contractor to offer the client an immediate solution due to the Belzona 3131 (WG membrane) properties and application opportunities.

Application Method

The roof was thoroughly cleaned prior to applying conditioner to some areas. After this, 2 x coats of the Belzona 3131 (WG membrane), along with the appropriate Belzona 9351 (Reinforcing Tape).

Using conventional methods of repair was not possible due to the sheer "busyness" of the roof arrangement. Belzona's liquid applied Winter Grade membrane was the perfect solution to this issue, which had been plaguing the client for a number of years
