Application Situation

Heat Exchanger - acid cooling tower. Operating pressure of 1 bar and temperature between 30 and 50C.

Application Method

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-5.

Belzona Facts

Two towers were suffering from the same problem at the same time: through wall defects due to corrosion. The customer had one spare ready (costing 90,000€) but could not afford to wait for a replacement one being given the 8 months lead time. The Belzona repair was completed in 4 days by a team of 3 technicians. The tower was put back in service within 72 hours. The Belzona repair (products + application) did cost one-third of the replacement cost (30,000€).
