Belzona restores Concrete Water Reservoir

Problem: Local authorities water reservoir was leaking. Divers had entered the tank and not found the source of the leak.

Condition of the concrete once entering the tank.

Hole located. A section of wood formwork was at grade and had deteriorated allowing the reservoir to lose a significant amount of water daily.

Hole sealed and 1st coat of Belzona 5812DW was applied.

Completed 2 coats with Belzona 5812DW.

Application Situation

With water loss increasing the society was uncertain of a path forward. Belzona's solution saved the customer thousand of dollars of investigating costs. Once drained our team inspected every inch of the concrete tank and found the leak and sealed it permanently.

Application Method

All surfaces were ground down using diamond cup grinders. Belzona 4111 Magma Quartz was used to seal the hole and all in perimeters were sealed. Belzona 5812DW was applied in 2 coats offering excellent protection from future decay and NSF approved as specified.
