Expansion joint cleaned and conditioned with Belzona 4911

Belzona 4511 applied on sides and Belzona 4521 applied on the horizontal section of the joint.

Installing thick planks after the application in order to enable traffic. We used those planks also during the application.

Situation after 7 months, with Belzona sealants still intact and in perfect condition.

Application Situation
The building was finished in spring. After a long and hot summer, the autumn came with heavy raining and the water started to penetrate into the underground garage. New tenants were worried and angry, so the problem should have been addressed asap. After reviewing the documentation and performing on-site analysis, we identified the contact between the asphalt access road and the concrete descending ramp as the problematic area and offered Belzona solution.
Application Method
We grinded away asphalt and concrete until we reached the existing insulation beneath them. Then we thoroughly cleaned the surface and applied Belzona 4911 Conditioner. Right after that, we applied Belzona 4511 on both sides (downward slopes) and Belzona 4521 on the horizontal section. Then we protected the area of application with thick planks, so tenants could use the underground garage.
Belzona Facts
Our customer was looking for a quick solution to this problem. It was critical to determine the exact location of the water ingression. We did it together with our customer, analyzing the construction and implementation projects, as well as performing on-site tests. Once we identified the problematic area, we could offer a quick and permanent solution. We performed the application in one day, enabling the use of the garage during and after the application. No other competitor couldn't offer this.
