Application Situation
An Aluminium production plant had extended their production area, installing new flooring of 1750 sqm.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with a modified version Belzona Know-How System Leaflet FPA-3. After allowing the concrete to dry for 28 days, the concrete floor was prepared by vacuum cleaning to remove dust and loose particles, leaving a clean, dry and firm substrate. Belzona 4181 was applied to the area to prevent outgassing and provide excellent adhesion to the concrete. Belzona 5892 was then applied as a 2-coat system to protect the concrete from chemical spillage and provide a robust flooring surface for regular foot traffic.
Belzona Facts
The high temperature chemical resistant properties of Belzona 5892 offer excellent performance. Additionally, being liquid applied, the Belzona system allows for a seamless finish and quick application, compared with chemical resistant tiles. Easy installation onto equipment support plinths was also a benefit, ensuring all areas of the concrete are suitably protected.
