Problem: This historical sign for a local graveyard dating back to the 1800’s was struck by a vehicle that ran off the road. The vehicle struck the sign causing it to break into two separate pieces.
Belzona 7311 was used to repair the damage.
Both halves of the signage being clamped together for improved adhesion.
Application Situation
By using Belzona 7311 we saved this client a few thousand dollars. This sign was basically unrepairable to the client and to have another one made would have cost up to $3000.00. And got the sign repaired and returned to the Client in less than a week where a replacement would’ve taken several months to manufacture.
Application Method
We first cleaned the surface using Belzona 9111. After cleaning we prepped the surface area using an MBX tool to scarify the surface. Once we had the surface cleaned and prepared for the 7311 we lined up each piece to trial fit them together. Once we were confident in lining them up we applied thin coat of 7311 to each piece. Then clamped them together and let them sit over night for 14 hours.
