Problem: Two parts of the main football stand had been moving together over a period of 15 - 20 years. On many occasions, the resulting eruptions were locally repaired using everyday repair materials. This was a constant battle and would never really cure the issue.
A new expansion/compression joint would need to be created in order to handle the movement of the concrete areas.
The original issue, with all loose and friable removed, ready for repairs to be made and a 30mm gap to be created
The shoulders have all now been made good and is ready for the bridging tape and the application of the Belzona 2211
The completed repair and installation of the "accumulator gap"
4 years later and the repair is as good now as it was at installation, with no issues created by movement and no further damage to the main football stand
