Problem: The impeller was exposed to corrosion due to unfiltered seawater as the pump medium. The customer needed a coating that could prevent corrosion and increase pump efficiency.

Application Situation

Belzona provides long-term corrosion protection and improved efficiency. No other coating could provide the two properties that the customer expected.

Application Method

Grit blasting with a surface profile of 75 microns and a cleanliness of Sa2.5. Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet CEP-3 with two coats of Belzona 1341 according to the IFU.
