Problem: The Customer was experiencing weakening of their aluminium tank walls caused by corrosion for operational demineralised water.

Application Situation
We offered a free consultation with the client and proposed our Belzona solution which included the delivery of samples for them to test internally the product's durability. The Belzona Solution was chosen due to our comprehensive approach as well as the fact we could offer our experienced application team to provide a full service.
Application Method
After the tank was blasted, we proceeded to replenish the pitting damages on the surface of the tank and then bandage the entire area with Belzona 1111 (Super Metal). Once the material had hardened, the surface was then prepared and Belzona 5811 (Immersion Grade) then applied in two layers. All the work was carried out on scaffolding with seven members of the application team as well as one inspector on site the entire application.

The customer was very happy with the application and for the price of 80,000€, it gave them the peace of mind that they can operate the tank and have more time to find a supplier.
