Problem: The customer experienced significant erosion issues within the diffuser pump component and, after conducting tests, determined that the structural strength of the part needed to be reinforced.

Application Situation

Customer had previous experience with Belzona and they are happy with he performance of our SuperWrapII system to structurally reinforce their equipment.

Application Method

Belzona recommended the following solutions:
Belzona 1341 – To address erosion-corrosion issues on the internal surfaces of the pump.
Belzona 4111- To repair missing chunks of cast iron in the inside surface and fill some cracks
Belzona 4141 – To get component in uniform shape for superwrap application.
Belzona SuperWrap II (Belzona 9381, 1981, 1982) – To strengthen the structural integrity of the component.
This comprehensive approach was designed to ensure both erosion resistance and structural reinforcement of the diffuser pump.

The product was all in stock and we were able to complete the repair in 3 days which was beneficial for the customer already had spent a significant time of their shutdown addressing other problems.
