Problem: The 400mm shaft for the roller in this steel mill had become damaged and developed 6mm of headspace inside the bearing, and therefore needed reprofiling.

Application Method

The prepared surface was cleaned using Belzona 9111. The profile was rebuilt with Belzona 1111, then machined back to the correct diameter using a lathe.
