Problem: The customer had to weld in a new grommet and then wanted it protected from chemicals and corrosion both in the grommet, inside and outside.

Application Situation
The welding was of a more urgent nature and with it the existing coating was destroyed. This was more or less repaired before the welding job had cooled down. Forced hardening so they could put it into operation the next day
Application Method
Mechanical surface preparation, Trowelling with Belzona 1161 on the new weld and transition, then 2 coats of Belzona 1391T
Belzona Facts
The cost saving was the short downtime. The steel would not have survived without the Belzona coating.
