Problem: Customer had 7 pumps that were 1 year old that had heavily corroded due to no coating. They bought 7 new pumps and decided to protect their investment.

Brand new pumps ready to be coated.

First coat of Belzona 1341 applied.

Applying the second coat of Belzona 1341.

All 7 pumps completed.

Application Situation

The previous pumps were corroded to the point the customer decided to replace them. With the size of the investment of new pumps, the decision was made to coat the pumps to prevent corrosion or damage to the new pumps. The customer was very pleased with the efficiency enhancement that is possible with the Belzona 1341.

Application Method

The pumps and parts were grit blasted to a 5 mil profile, washed with solvent. Belzona 1341 was applied by brush.

Belzona Facts

The cost to replace the pumps again was too much to not consider protecting them with a coating that would prevent corrosion. The efficiency enhancement was a bonus that would allow the customer to eventually gain back the cost of replacement by reducing the cost of operation.
