Problem: Caustic and Fluoride spills due to pump leaks had eaten through the floor coating, down to the aggregate in some places, and destroyed the metal framework for the access way into the sump below. Previous coating failed and presented a slippery floor when hosed down.

Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets FPA-1 & 3. Bulkfill was used to rebuild the sump access and spalled areas. The entire area was then given two coats of Immersion Grade with Surefoot Aggregate applied to achieve safe footing.
Belzona Facts
Local concrete repair services quoted the turnkey project excessively high. Maintenance staff with supervision were more than capable of carrying out the work. In the end, client saved taxpayer money, solved their own problem, on their own schedule and they now have the inhouse capability of seeing to their own concrete repairs and protective coating projects. The Belzona® 5811 was tested, by the city to their satisfaction with the two acids.
