Application Situation

Coating of the water jet propulsion system of a newly constructed yacht.

Application Method

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How system leaflet SOS-02. The substrate was blasted to SA 2.5 cleanliness and cleaned with acetone. 2 coats of Belzona 1341 (Supermetalglide) were then hand applied to coat the system.

Belzona Facts

The customer chose to use a Belzona coating as they were expecting both corrosion and erosion to be present when the jets were put into service, and this product is capable of dealing with both.
