Application Method

The application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of Belzona System Leaflet CEP-3. Cavitated and eroded areas were rebuilt with Belzona 1111. The impeller was then coated with two coats of Belzona 1341 by brush; grey base coat, followed by a blue top coat. Critical wear ring area was rebuilt with Belzona 1131.

Not only is this impeller ready for service again, it will perform better than ever with Belzona 1341 providing a performance increase by improving the efficiency of the pump. The pump impeller is also protected from the damaging nature of seawater. Belzona 1131 provides a self lubricating surface on the wear ring area.
