Problem: Chemicals were damaging the floor and attacking the grout between tiles.This particular problem area was a 3-4m2 area underneath equipment with leakages. The repair had to be carried out in a 3 day window.

Application Situation

A synthetic sausage skin factory had numerous floor problems in the process area.

Application Method

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona system Leaflets FPA-1 and FPA-3. Belzona 4154 was used to fill the larger, deeper areas (up to 100mm). Belzona 4111 was then applied before coating with Belzona 4311 to give a chemical resistant layer to prevent further chemical attack.

Belzona Facts

Belzona provided a cost-effective solution, which was fully applied in 2 days, 1 day quicker than planned. Cementitious materials would have taken 28 days to cure before a chemical resistant coating could be applied.
