Problem: Client has numerous flanges that are corroded. They are replacing the flanges with new and want to coat the new ones to protect from corrosion and add life to their new assets. The cost and turnaround time to apply Belzona on the flanges was a great choice.

Application Situation
The customer should have an extended life on the new flanges with Belzona on the sealing surface because the 1111 is compatible with their service and will protect from the corrosive environment.
Application Method
1. Power tool prep was completed using a grinder and cutting disk.
2. Belzona 9411 was used to apply on the fabricated former as a release agent.
3. Belzona 1111 was mixed and applied by brush to build up a ~.25” thick layer of product.
4. The former was applied and compressed the product. Once cured, the former was removed. The product was smooth and had a gramophone finish.
Belzona Facts
Flange rebuild applications are relatively inexpensive. The customer saves downtime in the future now that sealing surface has a corrosion resistant surface. Also, the we trained the local contractor to apply this product and allow for a smooth application. Giving them the ability to benefit from work like this in the future. The customer was pleased with the result and the assets are in service still today, with no issue.
