Problem: Dilute sulfuric acid eventually attacked the fiberglass surface and had the gelcoat completely eaten away in sections. The first layer of cloth was exposed in 50% of the internal tank surface.

Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-3.
Belzona Facts
All exposed glass fiber ends were shaved off. The internal tank surface was blasted and coated with two coats of Belzona® 5811. In August 2003, the refinery reported it had experienced perfect performance with coating.
