Problem: General corrosion had reduced original 10mm pipe wall thickness to 5-6mm but excessive grinding of the substrate during preparation for non destructive testing created a local defect with wall thickness of 2mm.

Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets VPF-2 and VPF-11. A doubler plate was bonded using Belzona 1111 and was then overcoated with Belzona 1341.

The client only had a one day window for the application to be completed. Belzona were able to carry out the application in this time, ensuring minimum downtime was incurred.
