Application Situation
Containment area required impermeable seal to protect the environment.
Application Method
Application was carried out using a modified Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-15. The concrete was high Pressure Water Jetted to remove loose coating and expansion joint sealant. Joints then sealed with Belzona® 4521. 2 coats of Belzona® 5811 and a top coat of Belzona® 5111 for UV Protection applied to entire area.
Belzona Facts
Original Epoxy coating had chalked and deteriorated over the years. Belzona did a test patch 5 years ago and it held up well. When the project was awarded the Belzona materials were chosen. Belzona® 5111 provides outstanding resistance to UV degradation and chalking.
