Problem: The materials had to be applied and cured in this short time frame. Over the years, the concrete floor had deteriorated due to wear, abrasion and chemical attack from the milk and cleaning fluids used. In some areas, the concrete has become cracked, and in others, it has worn down resulting in an uneven surface. An expansion joint was also in need of replacement.

Application Situation
Floor in milk reception area. The plant had a two week shutdown in which to complete repairs.
Application Method
The area was mechanically prepared and power washed to bring out any ingrained chemicals. The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets FPA-1 and FPA-6.
Belzona Facts
Digging out the entire area and replacing it with concrete would have taken longer than the shutdown allowed. Additionally, it would have caused disruption to the work carried out around the area. Belzona 4131 provides a hard wearing chemical resistant surface.
