Problem: A refurbished fabricated vessel required an internal coating to provide long-term protection against erosion and corrosion in immersed conditions. The test separator works with hydrocarbons with operating temperature around 100 degrees Celsius

The vessel suffered corrosion and erosion.

During the application of Belzona 1391T in the vessel, the applicator followed Belzona Know-How System Leaflets TCC-5, TCC-16a, and TCC-16b.

A two-coat system of Belzona 1391T was achieved for the vessel's internal lining.

Application Situation

Process vessels are essential components, and any issues must be promptly addressed. Corrosion and erosion weaken the equipment, increasing the risk of leaks, which can compromise safety, cause environmental pollution, and result in substantial economic losses.

Application Method

The application followed Belzona Know-How System Leaflets TCC-5, TCC-16a, and TCC-16b. A two-coat system of Belzona 1391T was applied for internal lining, with all vessels coated at the fabricator's yard.
