Problem: The customer initially faced problems with the 24'' sea water line, which is used for utility services. The issue was caused by the aggressive sea water in the Gulf region. Any disruption in the supply would lead to a plant shutdown. The customer attempted different lining options with other cheap coatings, but they didn't last long. During a shutdown, the client replaced the 24'' elbows with new ones. The MIE engineer was keen to try our Belzona wrapping solutions as a preventive maintenance measure.

Trial/demo application of Belzona SuperWrap II as per the engineered design.

No trace of any leak or peel-off after the completed hydrotest.
