Problem: There was a small crack in the Monel which needed terminating and filling with Belzona 1511. The bellow also required strengthening.

Application Situation
Belzona SuperWrap II offered strength and durability to a piece of machinery that had previous issues with durability as it is set between convolutions.The customer was extremely satisfied and will be replacing all their bellows during a planned shutdown in June and will be applying Belzona SuperWrap II to all of the new bellows.
Due to site imposed limitations, the repair was carried out as a temporary solution.
Application Method
Surface preparation was done using manual tools removing rust and debris from the surface taking care not to penetrate the 2mm thick Monel Bellow. The crack was terminated and filled with Belzona 1511.Belzona 1983 was then applied to increase strength and durability of the bellow.
