問題: The refinery was experiencing corrosion on their pipe at a port terminal, which required either a large maintenance shutdown, or an alternative solution had to be found.

Since the thickness of the pipe was dangerously low, the customer had to find a durable solution. Either the pipe had to be changed or they had to think of alternative solutions. When the customer heard how they could save time on the repair and at the same time get an ASME PPC 2 compliant solution, the customer had no doubts.

塗布方法

First, the pipe was gritblasted and cleaned with Belzona 9111. Belzona 1212 was used to rebuild the pipe to its original size.
Belzona 1983 was chosen as the resin for the project, superwrap was carried out according to specifications, by certified SuperWrap II installer and supervisor.

Changing a pipe with a branch is a costly affair and requires a long shutdown. Belzona was chosen for the quick solution, and the solution is compliant with ASME PPC 2, which gave the customer the necessary security for the repair.
The repair was designed so that all requirements from the customer are met.
