Problem: The lining of the baler was experiencing wear due to ramming of the loader. Plates could not be welded to both sides due to the thickness requirements. Belzona was consulted, we gave various options and customer picked that of rebuilding with a paste grade product.

Application Situation

Customer was facing a daunting task of replacing a baler at the cost of $200k due to very badly worn lining which had significantly reduced the efficiency of the equipment. Belzona application was suggested as an alternative but did not only get the job done in record time but also fairly cheaper that other options and significantly cheaper total replacement.

Application Method

Power tool were used to clean the surface and created required profile. Belzona 1121 was missed and applied, then smoothened to give a more uniform application for ease of ramming of the loader. Equipment was put to test and customer was satisfied with the result.

Belzona Facts

Belzona was cheaper than alternative in terms of relative ease of application and time saving. It was definitely cheaper that replacement which could have costed the customer a fortune.
