Problem: Numerous rips and tears were occurring at a huge distribution center, meaning costs were ever increasing on the replacement and downtime of conveyor belts

Area for demonstration identified, cut back and now being abraded

Area taped off and wetted out, following

Belzona 2311 applied

Repair and training completed

Application Situation

The training delivered by Belzona gave the engineering department full confidence in repairing their own conveyor belts, creating huge savings throughout the company

Application Method

The area was identified and all loose and stray pieces of belt were removed
The area was abraded using a Belzona Roughing brush and the taped with masking tape
Belzona 2911 conditioner was used to prepare the area, using a Large Working Surface under the repair area to protect the belt bed
The area was wetted out with Belzona 2311, prior to the Belzona 9341 reinforcing sheet, also wetted out with Belzona 2311
The area was built up with the remaining Belzona 2311 and smoothed with a Belzona applicator
The masking tape was removed and the repair left to cure
