Problem: Leaks in the roof over the entrance of the ER was getting paramedics and patients wet when it was raining.

Application Situation
There was a leak in this area of the roof. This section of roof is over the entrance and equipment storage area at the ambulance entrance to the ER department. The exact source was unknown, but there were several suspect areas in this zone. The customer had applied other materials several times, and each time the leak would stop for a couple days and then begin leaking again. The leak was damaging ceiling tiles inside, as well as creating slippery floors, and would make the paramedics and patients wet when entering the hospital. The leak was so bad that the paramedics would refuse to transport patients to this hospital if it was raining.
Application Method
Sanding disks were used on a grinder to prep the roofing material and metal flashing with careful inspection to ensure the substrate was solid with no loose sections. The brick was prepped with a masonry grinding disk. The first coat of Belzona 3121 was applied with care to get into all of the crevices and seams. Belzona 9331 reinforcement sheet was embedded into the first layer, and then overcoated with a second coat of Belzona 3121.
