All loose material removed and the surface prepared with a hand grinder on both the concrete surfaces and metal surfaces.

Belzona 4911 Conditioner applied liberally.

Belzona 4111 application completed.

Application Situation
The damaged area had been repaired with another material which was not bonded to the concrete, which resulted in an additional tripping hazard as it was now raised up. This is a water test area for large vessels and requires a smooth floor to roll carts over and sees a lot of foot traffic as well. An uneven floor in this area poses a huge danger to both employees and equipment.
Application Method
The previous repair material was removed in large pieces with a screwdriver as it was not bonded to the concrete. A wire wheel on a drill was used to remove all of the loose concrete debris. A 4" hand grinder with a stone grinding wheel was used to remove the rust from the metal frame and exposed rebar, as well as to remove as much of the surface of the concrete as possible. The Belzona 4911 Conditioner was liberally applied ensuring that the full area of application was fully coated into the uneven surface. The Belzona 4111 was mixed following the Instructions For Use and packed in by hand to ensure there were no air pockets or voids, and then finished using a steel concrete trowel.
