Problem: These "fingers" basically walk forward and back moving lumber into position for stacking. Smooth metal does not grip the lumber well enough.

Application Situation
The fingers required a reliable gripping material. Through trial and error, this manufacturer had tried many different products, and Belzona 4411 and 9221 was the only material that provided long lasting results. Not having to reapply grip material as a warranty item greatly reduced this companies expenses and increased their profit.
Application Method
The metal was prepped with a hand grinder for a rough and irregular surface, then washed with solvent. The Belzona 4411 was applied by brush, and the Belzona 9221 was sprinkled on with a plastic bag underneath to catch the excess for future applications.

The ability to mix Belzona 4411 in smaller quantities greatly increased the overall attractiveness of this solution by reducing the overall cost of each batch of fingers. This actually brough the cost of materials down to be comparable to sticky grip tape that would only last for months compared to years. This solution was adapted by the customer as a standard for their manufacturing process due to its longevity in operation in the field.
