Problem: This area of the mill was seeing an increase in falls so the safety manager decided that a Belzona solution was needed.

Belzona 1321 (Ceramic S-Metal) was applied and Belzona 9211 (Supergrip Aggregate) was incorporated to provide a tenacious non-slip system.

The pattern chosen for this application was a "chevron" or "diagonal hatch" design with "parallel striping" closest to the stairs.

Application Situation

Safety in any industrial facility is paramount so when this facility was experiencing an increase of slip and fall accidents at this location they decided to utilize Belzona to solve the problem.

Application Method

The concrete surface was prepared using an MBX Bristle Blaster. Then a diagonal hatch design was taped off. A parallel striping design was used at the entrance to the stairs. Belzona 1321 (Ceramic S-Metal) was applied in a single 10 mil coat with Belzona 9211 (Supergrip Aggregate) incorporated.
