Problem: While the visible damage is purely cosmetic, if the tank were to spill, the bund would no longer be able to contain the chemicals and they would pass straight to the drains. This would have resulted in an environmental issue and a fine to the site.

Application Situation

Bund wall and fillet area needed repairing after a collision with a forklift truck caused damage to 2 linear meters of wall to floor joints.

Application Method

The products were applied in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet TCC-09. The surace was prepared on the external wall of the bund and rebuilt back to its profile using Belzona 4141. After removing approximately 2 linear metres of fillet, Belzona 4181 was used on the internals to restore the damaged concrete..

Belzona were chosen for this repair as the customer required a quick and effective solution to ensure the bund was compliant as soon as possible. This was the first repair done for this customer, with positive feedback received after the work was complete.
