Problem: Customer had a large government ferry 1-yr old that was suffering from electrolysis in the bow thruster tunnel.

Bow thruster tunnel suffering from pitting due to electrolysis.

Bow thruster tunnel blasted to required SSPC-SP10.

Belzona 1311 used to fill all pitting in tunnel.

Job completed after 2nd coat of Belzona 1321 coating.

Application Situation
Customer called up with rush job after realizing the extent of pitting in bow thruster tunnel caused from electrolysis. The ferry was set to be back in the water within 48hrs. Belzona came in with the repair and coat the next day allowing for required time to cure before ferry was launched back into the water.
Application Method
Tunnel was blasted to SSPC-SP10 requirements. Tunnel was then cleaned with Belzona 9111 and allowed to dry. Belzona 1311 was then hand applied with applicators and short bristle brushes to fill in all pitting. Belzona 1321 1st coat was applied gray and then followed by 2nd coat of blue.
