Problem: The customer required a replacement pump; however, manufacturing a new casting would have taken too long to meet their operational needs. An alternative solution was therefore needed to minimize downtime and return the equipment to service within the required timeframe, avoiding long casting delays.

Application Situation

A local pump shop identified an existing pump that was scheduled to be scrapped and determined it could be refurbished instead of replaced. Pump was grit blasted, repaired, and coated.
