Application Situation
2 x HP and 1 x LP Separators (max operating 85°C and 11 bar, Oil/Gas/Water mixture) and knock out drums designed in carbon steel and specified with Belzona internal lining as an alternative to internal metal cladding.
Application Method
Application carried out according to the project Method Statement and Quality Control Procedure. Belzona 1391T was used to stripe coat, prior to spray application of Belzona 1391S as a 2 coat system. Lining integrity inspection was carried out using a high voltage holiday detector (spark tester). Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets - TCC-5 for protecting and rebuilding steelwork
Belzona Facts
This engineering company was awarded the EPC contract based on their proposal to internally line process vessels using Belzona materials as an alternative to stainless steel cladding. As part of this project, one package was awarded to a fabricator in the Netherlands (3 separators) and another package was awarded in the UAE (6 knock out drums).
