Belzona solution difficult racking issue

Problem: New racking was required due to expansion, but the area assigned was showing issues and the engineers were worried that the installation of the racking would not be approved by inspectors under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)
It was decided to ask the local Belzona engineer for a spec on a solution to install a stronger pad for the uneven target areas

Application Situation
The Belzona solution offered an extremely quick, durable and exceptionally strong solution to the issue of the uneven floor area. It would have been impossible to chock or shim the floor in a traditional way as the gaps were far to big to create a stable surface for the 3 shelf racking. Belzona offered the perfect solution
Application Method
The area was marked out and a frame was set to level. This frame was coated with Belzona 9411 release agent
The area was made rough, using cordless grinders with flap wheels and the area was vacuumed and cleaned
Belzona 4911 TX Conditioner was applied to the area as per the Belzona 4911 Instructions for Use
Following this, the Belzona 4111 resins were mixed in a receptacle. The Belzona 4111 aggregate was added and mixed well
This was applied inside the frame and compressed/levelled using a finishing trowel.
Any unfinished external areas were also repaired using the system as above to leave a solid, level pad for the bolting of the racking to take place

Time was of the essence for the engineers who were required to deliver the new racking area by a certain date. New stock was ordered and they had to be prepared and ready to receive it, As the installation of the racking needed to meet the regulations set out under PUWER, the Belzona solition was perfect for installation time and completed result.
To have installed a new concrete area would have meant saw-cutting the floor, breaking out, casting a new part of the slab and awaiting setting of the concrete, which could have been up to 28 days.
With the Belzona solution, the racking was fitted just 2 days after application
