Problem: 3 underground tanks were identified as having issues, warranting new linings being applied. Belzona were a regular supplier to the client and they had no reservations in enquiring for a solution

4 years on and the Belzona 1391T has coped with submerged conditions and exceptionally difficult chemicals

Application Situation

The client needed to turn around the whole project in under 3 days. The chemicals they needed to protect against were Acetone, Carbon, Caustic soda and acetic acids
No other provider could offer a such a competitive solution

Application Method

Remove old coating and effect any necessary concrete repairs
Prepare all surfaces by blast cleaning
Mix and apply the 1391T as per the IFU
Apply 2 x coats as per 1391T IFU and post cure

Belzona Facts

The client had a very short window, which meant the Belzona applications team had to work staggered shifts around the clock to manage overcoat windows, using external heat and tents, effectively post curing the materials and allowing the client to run operations in a worthwhile time
