Problem: The client took a pump out of service for inspection and found several problem areas. The impeller being one of them. The leading edges were worn almost half way off.

Application Situation

Cost savings on this project was pretty significant. The main issue was lead time to purchase a new impeller and the downtime it would have cost the client. They chose Belzona because of our proven past history with this particular client and of course the lead time to replace the impeller.

Application Method

We began by blasting to a 3 mil profile then cleaning the surface with 100% MEK. Followed by our crafty applicator repairing the leading edges with Belzona 1111. We completed the application with two coats of Belzona 1321.

Belzona Facts

Downtime was the biggest issue we were facing on this project. Although we did save the customer a few thousand dollars in the process. They chose Belzona due to our past history of success stories with them.
