Problem: The original lining had started to break down. A corrosion resistant system that would not taint the final product was required. Dust was not permitted to escape the working area due to production going on in the surrounding area.

Application Situation
A large vessel containing a beer solution required an internal lining to prevent corrosion & maintain hygienic conditions within the vessel.
Application Method
The applicaion was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet TCC-03. A sponge blast system was used to remove the failed lining & to prepare the underlying metal. Two coats of Belzona 5892 were then applied. The coating was post cured at 30 degrees C to comply with the WRAS potable water requirements.

The works were completed in a short turn around & has extended the life of the vessel by many years. The sponge blast system & habitat keep dust down to the very low level required by production.
