Application Situation

This Briquetter Roll Shaft (with 72 almond pockets) was experiencing pitting corrosion from making salt briquettes.

Application Method

First, the area is masked off with duct tape especially the machined surfaces are protected against grit blasting and/or accidental contact. The area to be coated is grit blasted with Black Beauty Coal Slag and coated with one coat of Belzona® 1391HT

This piece is called a Briquetter Roll Shaft (with 72 almond pockets?) and it’s on a Briquetter Machine.

We’ve done at least two or three sets of these units and they get the same treatment. First, the area is masked off with duct tape and all other surfaces especially, the machined surface, are protected against grit blasting and/or accidental contact. The area to be coated is grit blasted with Black Beauty Coal Slag and coated with one coat of Belzona® 1391T
