Application Situation

Using Belzona 7311 provided the customer with an alternative to welding. The amount of testing data gave the assurance to the customer that the product was the ideal solution for bonding.

Application Method

Mating surfaces were roughened and de-greased. 7311 was brushed into the substrate using a stiff bristled acid brush. Material was built up then broken piece was set in place and clamped during the curing process.

Belzona Facts

Welding cast aluminum requires expertise and can weaken the surrounding area. There was a long lead time for a replacement cover which was not acceptable to the customer. Belzona 7311 was selected for it's optimal adhesion properties.
