Application Situation

The internal walls of several spools from the auxilary cooling water system were coated with Belzona 1321 back in 2013. In 2018 the spools were removed for inspection still showing to be in excellent condition.

Application Method

This application was carried out in accordance with system leaflet VPF-02. Originally the internals of the spools were grit blasted to SA2.5 and then coated with Belzona 1321. During the inspection in 2018 some minor repairs were carried out on the flange area and internal walls of the spools. Any area's that needed minor repairs were washed with Salt-Away and then grit blasted before reapplying some Belzona 1321.

Belzona Facts

The spools were originally rubber lined. The rubber lining was removed in 2013 and Belzona 1321 was applied.
