Problem: The customer's concrete floor had been cracked due to sub-base ground settlement. Customer wanted the cracks repaired and a protective coating applied for protection and aesthetic purposes.

Repair area was defined.

Crack was conditioned with Belzona 4911 and repaired using Belzona 4111.

Vinyl flakes applied onto Belzona 5231.

Belzona 5233 was applied as the clearcoat topcoat.

Belzona 4111 was used to repair the cracks on the floor
Application Method
The concrete floor was scarified, and the cracks were defined. Belzona 4911 conditioner was applied, and the cracks were repaired with 4111. Belzona 5231 was applied to the concrete floor using a roller. While the 5231 was still wet, decorative vinyl chips were broadcast onto the floor and a clean roller was used to press the vinyl flakes into the 5231. Belzona 5233 clear was applied over the vinyl flakes for a topcoat for mechanical protection and aesthetics.
Belzona Facts
Belzona 4111 was chosen to repair the concrete cracks to avoid delamination from the concrete substrate, and Belzona 5231/5233 was chosen for the adhesive properties and mechanical strength.
