Problem: Diffuser ring was corroded and certain areas were worn out and needed to be resurfaced.

Initial state of the ring.

Resurfacing with Belzona 1111.

1st coat of Belzona 1341.

After application of 2nd coat.

Application Situation

The asset owner sent specified Belzona to resurface and extend the life of the diffuser and sent the equipment to a machining and coating specialist to complete the product application

Application Method

The inner surface of the ring was resurfaced with Belzona 1111 and then it was followed by two coats of Belzona 1341.

The customer has been using this product in multiple other fluid flow equipment. They have been pleased not only with the erosion-corrosion protection, but also how with it hydrophobic properties and low surface friction it is able to increase efficiency
