Problem: The concrete pump base had water running over it for several years due to constant water running over the pump to keep it from over heating. The water had been eroding the concrete for many years. They were facing the replacement of two pump bases.

Application Situation

Cost savings is undetermined due to the trust the customer has in the Belzona product, they did not entertain the option to demo and rebuild a new pump base. The cost to repair the concrete and coat the bases for protection was only around three thousand dollars.

Application Method

We used needle guns to prepare the surface area. Once the surface was prepared we then cleaned the concrete using a vacuum to remove dust and small debris and MEK to clean the surface.

Belzona Facts

The customer saved several thousand dollars relying on Belzona to repair and coat the pump bases. The only alternative was to demolish the concrete bases and re-pour new bases.
