Problem: White cement was falling off from a gap between the silo cone and the concrete wall which poses safety concerns for the employees.

Application Situation

Customer needed a material that would bond to both steel and cement to seal the gap between the silo cone.

Application Method

A blower was used to used remove cement from the surface and surroundings. Belzona 91111 was used to clean the surface. Belzona 1121 was then injected using Belzona pneumatic pistol into the gap to seal off the falling materials. Additional material was applied using Belzona applicator to make sure the area is well sealed.

Belzona Facts

Product cured on multiple substrate and the gap was sealed. After 24 hours, an inspection by the production team confirmed that materials were no longer falling from the gap hereby confirming a perfect seal. Customer is looking at sealing up such gaps with Belzona in the nearest future.
