Application Situation
Other systems had been trialled but had failed under general weather conditions and resulted in delaminated coatings. Belzona produced a solid proposal, showing many successful KHIA's which made the decision very easy for the company concerned.
Application Method
The surface was prepared and cleaned, leaving a clean, dry and firm surface.
The Belzona 5231 was mixed and the first coat applied, after which around 2Kg per m2 of Belzona 9221 Surefoot aggregate was scattered into the wet surface.
A further coat of Belzona 5231, being a different shade, was applied over the top of this to completely encapsulate the surface, leaving a safe, non-slip durable finish.
Belzona Facts
As well as completing this small project which was necessary to do, the client also used this as a "trial area" to consider further works of around 1,600m2 within the actual production areas.
